Alex was born in British Columbia and moved to Edmonton at a young age. He was very active growing up, playing mainly basketball and volleyball, the latter of which he played at the collegiate level. After incurring some injuries, he became familiar with the world of massage therapy and came to appreciate how valuable their work can be. Years later, he went on to study at the Alberta College of Massage Therapy, where he graduated with honors in 2020. He holds a certification and has a special interest in Orthopaedic Massage, a type of injury rehabilitation that focuses on the muscles and soft tissues surrounding joints. He says, “I always had a deep interest in the way the body works and how to rehab it.” He describes his treatment style as a combination of therapeutic, deep relaxation, and sports massage. Alex also works as an instructor at the institution he graduated from (ACMT), teaching first-year Massage Therapy and second-year Anatomy & Physiology. In addition to his professional pursuits, Alex is an avid cyclist, always planning his next adventure on two wheels. When he’s not in the clinic or on his bike, he enjoys spending downtime with his lovely partner and their three dogs.
