Based on the current guidelines on private physiotherapy practice in Alberta, The Physi-Yogis is open for in person physiotherapy and massage appointments. JULY 1 UPDATE Please continue to complete the COVID screen sent to your email before every appointment and prior to entering the clinic. Continue to wear a mask to your appointment and have it on when in the waiting area and/or moving around the clinic. Contact us as soon as possible to cancel your appointment if you are experiencing any symptoms of illness. Please note that our clinic has 2 floors. If you cannot move up and down stairs please call us to book. We will reserve you a treatment room downstairs.

Maria was born in the Philippines and raised here in Edmonton, Alberta. She is a graduate of the rigorous Makami College 3000 hour program, which prepared her for the 7 years she’s spent working alongside different practitioners developing her skills. she chose to get into massage therapy because she loves helping people feel great again and massage is a great modality for healing. It is an amazing alternative to relieve aches and pains, helps rehabilitate injuries and brings overall wellness in life.

Anil completed his first degree as a Bachelor of Science at the University of Alberta and went on to study physiotherapy at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. ​ After graduating as a physiotherapist in 1999, Anil has worked in Orthopaedic private practice ever since. Manual therapy including spinal manipulation is a high level skill requiring years of training and certification to master. In his experience , Anil has found and developed his method which is a hybrid, combining manual therapy with acupuncture and dry needling as well as muscle and fascia release. Having worked and studied with some of the best physiotherapists and body workers in the country has given him a vast bag of tricks to help his clients get beyond their movement restrictions.

Briana graduated from the University of Alberta in 2009 with a Bachelor of Physical Education and Recreation. She completed her Masters of Physiotherapy Studies in Brisbane, Australia studying at The University of Queensland, one of Australia’s top physiotherapy schools. Graduating in 2013 , she was able to learn from some of the top physiotherapists in the world.

Briana’s approach to therapy includes effective manual therapy techniques, progressive rehabilitation exercises, advanced education and Neuro-Anatomical Acupuncture.

Outside of the clinic, Briana spends the majority of her time playing sports and spending time with family and friends. Briana played tennis competitively at the University of Alberta during her undergraduate degree and continues to play regularly in the summer months along with running and golfing. In the winter months Briana loves to jet off to the mountains and go snowboarding with friends and family.

Alex is from Kelowna and has recently graduated from the Alberta College of Massage Therapy. He says “I always had a deep interest in the way the body works, and how to rehab and treat it.” He describes his treatment style as more of the clinical, therapeutic kind. ‘I like to get at the root of the problem and work my way out” His hobbies outside of massage are mountain biking, road cycling, hiking, and taking his 3 dogs out for long walks. Navdeep is a Bachelor of Physical Therapy from India in 2012. In 2014 he received his Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion. Many of our clients know him well as he has been Anil’s Assistant for the past 4 years. Navdeep loves hiking (especially in our gorgeous Alberta Mountain Parks) and playing Cricket. Navdeep focuses his approach to treatment on Exercise Therapy. He is looking forward to becoming proficient In Acupuncture and Manual Therapy.
